Photographed a vacant house before renovation in Tsuno, on the border between Oita City and Fukuoka City. For some reason, I felt nostalgic even though it was my first time here. This is because it resembled my grandparents' house, which has now been cleared. The tiles on the front door, shoji screens, and frosted glass-wooden houses are becoming less and less common, but here the old Japanese landscape remains. The place left traces of its existence before it was renovated before it was demolished. Inspired by the torn shoji screens, the photographs were torn and joined together to form a single photo.

大分市と福岡市の境にある津野のリフォーム前の空き家を撮影。初めてきた場所なのに何故か懐かしさを感じた。今では、更地となっている祖父母の家に似ていたからだ。玄関のタイル、障子、すりガラスなど、木造建築の家が少なくなりつつある中、ここには昔ながら日本の風景が残っている。取り壊される前のリフォーム前に、この場所が存在した跡を残した。
